Archos working on Android phone tablet
Archos is readying an Android based "phone tablet" that will most likely be fully unveiled at CES which kicks of on the 7th of January, 2010. However, the company did let slip a few details of it during the launch of the Archos 5 Internet Tablet yesterday.
The picture below is courtesy of French website giiks.com and so far it covers all the details available about the new Android powered "phone tablet". It will have a 1GHz ARM Cortex based processor, a 4.3-inch touch screen display with 854x480 resolution, which by the way is the highest resolution display we've seen on a device of this type so far and built 3.5G mobile phone functionality.

At 10mm thick, or ultra thin as Archos prefers, the "phone tablet" certainly won't cause too much of a bulge in your pocket, but due to the large screen, it might be hard to fit in your average shirt pocket. The 1GHz processor also makes this the fastest Android device so far, well, at least that has been announced in any capacity, but it looks like we're still some time away before it'll hit retail, so if you really want an Android device now, it might not be wise to wait for this one.
